At Cosmic Plant Co. Located behind Black Swan Antiques
1640 Hunter Rd, New Braunfels, TX 78130
In this small-group altar workshop, you will create a one-of-a-kind ceramic altar using forms, templates, and design approaches developed in my studio. This is a guided, hands-on experience designed to help you make a piece that feels intentional, personal, and meant to live in your home.
Dive into your creative flow under an ancient oak surrounded by the plants of Cosmic Plant Co. Make a full day of it by exploring the historic town of Gruene, TX and check out the Texas Clay Festival happening the same day!
We will work with a dark red clay body selected for it's rich texture and natural color.
Pieces are fired unglazed, letting the dark red clay keep its own texture and natural color. I finish every piece by hand after the workshop, honoring the form and the intention behind it.
Throughout the workshop, I will guide you through:
You'll receive hands-on instruction, individualized feedback, and thoughtful guidance at each stage of the process. Pieces are professionally fired after the workshop and finished to highlight the natural beauty of the clay.
No prior clay experience is necessary. This workshop is ideal for beginners and returning students who want to create a meaningful object with care and intention.
Finished work will be ready for pickup in approximately 5–6 weeks (in Gruene or Austin).
Before booking, please take a moment to review our Workshop FAQ for information on what to expect, our cancellation policy, and more.
I believe access to creative spaces matters. A limited number of community supported spots may be available at a reduced rate for those who need it. If cost is a barrier, you are welcome to reach out directly to inquire about availability.
